Whis is my TU falling while everything else rising.

EDITED::

I've been working at cleaning up my report now. Early this year I was at 695 TU 651 EQ and 670 EX.
I had a false collection from a past contractor which I got the agency to delete completely.
Also had a couple of small cell phone debts which I reluctantly just paid off to get the balances to 0.
Since then I've been watching my scores on Myfico.

Last week my scores were 711 TU 684 EQ and 690 EX. I thought I was on the right track.. only real negatives are some 30 pd from 2004&2005 and my balances are low on my credit cards.

The other day I got a notice from Myfico that my score went up again, 703 Whoot!! so I went to Myfico and purchased TU score and it showed a drop of 30 points.
I went over my two last reports and they could not find a difference in the last two reports however my TU score is falling... WHY?? I called TU and they said they don't do Fico.

Why is my TU falling when nothing changed on my report and EQ and EX going up. Who can I talk to .. Help? I'm planning to apply for a bank loan for my business this summer and need everything over 700.

As Timothy said- please re-post, leaving out any mention of PrivacyMatters or FAKO scores. They're just distractions.

But please do add this: look at your new TU FICO report and the previous one (the 30 point higher one.) See what's different on screen 2 with your positives and negatives, on the Credit-at-a-glance screen with balance totals, and on the accounts screen with balances and other accounts.

What's different between the two reports? There has to be something different to trigger the score change.

I don't suppose this site could ban any mention of FAKO's, could they?   As Hauling says, it is just distractions and noise (my word).    They add NOTHING to the discussions, so why even have the conversation?

Our visitors and new members don't know the difference, and so this is one way that they find out. I've even read posts by long-time members who didn't realize the problem!

Anyway, yjoseph, if you could repost with just the FICO stuff and what the reports say, it will help us untangle what's going on. Smiley Happy

Re: Whis is my TU falling while everything else rising.

OK I edited my first post.. I didn't know I could not mention other services however I have to say that when applying for credit in the past that other "Fako scores" service had scores more in line with what the credit grantor was seeing.. No one but me ever saw my higher myfico scores this is why I used theirs as sort of a judge of what scores I would be getting in the "real world".

Back to my dilema, I printed out both reports and the only difference is an 80 balance difference on my student loan, and about a $200 balance differnce on a credit card. All other information is the same, all 0 balances are still 0. and the 2004&2005 30pd is still the same on my closed car loan.

Is there someone at Tu or fico that can explain the drop for no apparent reason?

On page 2 of your FICO report for TU-
Does it have "too many accounts with balances".

Re: Whis is my TU falling while everything else rising.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for responding... I had actually skimmed throught the actual report and could not find any differences in the accounts.. After looking at page two the difference says that I have 1 account which was 60 days or worse, the higher scoring report doesn't state this. Also it says I have 2 accounts with missed payments, the higher scoring report says only 1.
Again when I go throught the report after page 2, all the information is identical except for the differnces on my credit card and student loan amounts, about 80 on the cc and 200 on the student loan, both less on the newer report.
I can't find the account that has 60 days pd. The one collection account information which was paid off on my last three reports is exactly the same. This was from AT&T wireless for 200, I just paid it off early this year to clear it.
Althought the reports are the same there is a major difference in the score.. Could it also be I've paid off too many balances? all other accounts are 0 balances even though I kept the accounts open.

Are there hidden accounts or information we cannot see?

Thanks,

Re: Whis is my TU falling while everything else rising.

The myFICO reports only display the "last 2 years" of payment history-

I would pull directly from the CRA's or an annual report.

Re: Whis is my TU falling while everything else rising.

Hi Tim,

Thats why I used the other service. They pull directly from TU CRA and when you call they say they are part of TU. Its also the same as Truecredit. They have history that goes back to 2004.
When I compare the last two reports on their service both reports are the same except for the balance differences I mentionded and no 60 days late on either.

Can there be an error somewhere in the system? My TU was always higher now its the lowest.
