Why are scores from multiple websites different for the same CRA?

Within minutes of each other, I obtained two credit reports tonight, each showing my scores for all three credit reporting agencies. They are as follows:

                 myFICO.com               FreeCreditReport.com
EQ               689                                     742
TU                700                                     742
EX                781                                     777

Which score is my real credit score? Which one would lenders get? Why the discrepancy in scores from the same CRAs?

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Why are scores from multiple websites different for the same CRA?

Hi web, and welcome to the forum! Smiley Happy

There are several scoring models that different CRA's use to generate a credit score. The scores that you got from fcr.com are what we call FAKO scores. They serve no useful purpose other than pleasing eye candy. It's very misleading imo.

The scores you get from MyFiCO is the scoring model(or a variation of it) used by 90% of lenders(banks, ccc's, mortgage lenders, etc). So it really more closely matches what your lender would use to base their lending decisions on if you apply for an extension of credit.

Hope that answers your question.
