I'm not new to credit scores, but I'm not an expert, and I need some help figuring this out. My credit is in a rebuilding phase. My scores have been in the low 500's for awhile, but recently my Transunion score increased to 605, while my Equifax score is at 519. I thought maybe something changed and Equifax just hadn't caught up, but it's been 2 months and these scores are the same. I just signed up with credit monitoring through my bank, which uses Fico 8, and they say my Fico 8 score is 650. I don't know what my Experian score is, but I can't imagine it factors into this much. I checked the details of each report through my annual credit report, and they all look pretty similar. If there isn't a noticeable different in these reports, what could be causing such a difference in these scores? Thanks for any assistance.
Whenever I see someone just mention a TU and EQ score, it raises a red flag to me that their source is Credit Karma. If this is true for you, know that their VS 3.0 scores are not FICO scores, so you can ignore them.
Through your bank, which FICO 8 score are you getting? It should say that it's drawn on EX, TU or EQ data. If it's not from EX, you can grab an EX FICO 8 score for free from creditscorecard.com or creditscore.com. Always trust only FICO scores and don't concern yourself with the scores CK provides.
@AnonymousThat aligns with everything except the 519 Equifax score.
What is the source of the EQ score?
