Why is Experian So Stingy

EQ and TU are very generous with their scores.  I'm at 741 w/ EQ and 736 w/ TU and couldn't be happier (this from a woman who was below 500 points several years ago).  Recently, I did a balance transfer to my fiancee's CC so I could take advantage of the 0% balance transfer interest rate.  That's when EQ and TU shot up a few weeks ago.  EX?  My score JUST went up by only 6 points and it actually had nothing to do with the $3k that was removed from my report - it was because one of my CC's balance dropped by $43!  WTH?!  My EX score hasn't moved in months.  Any others out there experience this w/ them?  Why are they so tight? lol

Starting Score: EQ 766 TR 767 EX 754
Current Score: EQ 807 TR 766 EX 750
Goal Score: 800 across the board

Just depends on the person I guess. My nemesis has always been Equifax. lol

Just can't win with these guys. Though I did win the last round.Smiley Tongue

Re: Why is Experian So Stingy

TU is my low-baller right now.  Waiting for ALL of them to report recent pay-downs. Next week should be a happy alert fest.

Re: Why is Experian So Stingy

Ex actually does move it's myfico I think that has the issue with the alerts and changes. EX has their own product one that's free that's more real time...There was an email that went out from myfico saying expect more changes to EX reporting on myfico a few weeks ago...I've seen some movement since then and more alerts and more often score increases with my balance paydowns.

Re: Why is Experian So Stingy

After I posted yesterday, this morning I got a 7pt increase on EXP.  Maybe the universe read my post lol.  First movement in months.  And it's not myfico, because I check my scores regularly on CCT and they update EXP daily.

Re: Why is Experian So Stingy

I was referring to the Myfico scoring not just the actual site. EX tends in my opinion to be slower than the other two to acknowledge something in your file changed to give you score increases. Heck they might be a on batching system lol. Like wait unitl a bunch of changes report then we'll give everyone their scores based off that. Idk but I got an increase too right after you menitoned it Smiley Happy
