Re: Why is Experian So Stingy

Same for me.  I can pull the 3 here, see a 6-8 point increase in EQ or TU and EX stays pat.

Re: Why is Experian So Stingy

Depends what's in your file; EQ / TU 8 for me typically moved similarly, EX was a bit of an outlier but I wasn't getting enough updates to really try to diagnose it.

Then again while I feel like a hypocrit after complaining about the MF update triggers once upon a time, now getting so many score alerts from balance changes that I had to turn off notifications heh.  Still not ideal, like I gained 3 points on 1/28 for an increase in balances (doubt that, 8% -> 11% single tradeline which was never a change elsewhere for me) but a bunch of other increases and decreases since then were flat... EX may not be as balance sensitive as EQ, I may try to track it better to see now that I get more passive updates.

On the flipside it caught the recent Amex inquiry jack be nimble jack be quick, and promptly dropped me 4 points, so it's catching the big stuff at least.

Given that your registration date is earlier than mine I'm not surprised.

I'm stuck for long periods at a single score unless I make a material shift in my balance reporting: even then when I get clean again, I go right back to where I was and these last for approximately year long stretches.  This is in part because I cluster my applications and inquiry accural as a result, and since they count linearly and I'm stuck in a given dirty bucket for the next 2ish years and likely in the top of said dirty bucket (at least on EQ / EX) I tend to shift based on AAOA increases (got them as I went back and forth across the 2 year mark, and I'm hoping I get a bump at 3 in a few months) but that's life after the initial building / cleanup roller coaster ride.

Get comfy basically as it's a long slog after that.
