Why is my Equifax score 40-50 points lower than Experian & Transunion?

Why is my Equifax credit score 37 points lower than my Experian score, and 47 point lower than my Transunion score? I have compared all 3 of my credit reports. I did find a couple of minor discrepancies on my Equifax report, disputed them, and they have been "resolved." Still no change. In my opinion the discrepancies where not major enough to shift a credit score 40-50 points. The 10 point spread between my Experian score and Transunion score seems reasonable, but a 47 point difference with the same data seems off. Any ideas?

Is the Equifax score you're referring to a FICO score or a Vantage score?

Do you have any baddies reporting, and if so the age(s)?

I have the same situation - my TU8 score is 643, while EQ8 is 678 and EX8 is 673. ( TU9 = 696, EQ9 = 712, EX9 = 717 )

It turns out my IIB auto loan is reporting to TU, while it's not reporting to the other 2 bureaus.

That's got to be the reason, but it seems strange it's still 30/35 points after over 6.5 years. ( BK7 March 2014 )

There was a previous emplyment dates descrepancy, And a credit card account that they showed as being a zero ballance when it actully had a ballace on it of 20% of it's limit (about 3% of my over all credit)

@Anonymous you would have to give us a lot more information in order to answer the question, for instance you can use the workbook linked at the top of my signature courtesy of @ccquest

OP, you should revise your thread title to say "Equifax" in the appropriate place, as it says "Experian" twice.

Another question for the OP:  While you did state that all of the scores you provided are Fico scores, you didn't state which scoring model.  If they are different scoring models, that could result in an apples to oranges score comparison as well.

Re: Why is my Experian score 40 points lower than Experian & Transunion?

I understand that different FICO score models result in different ranges of scores. These are all Fico score 8 scores which uses a 300-850 scale. Equifax 802, Transunion 848, Experian 839. They have change slightly since I originally post the question. Equifax down one point for an auto loan inquiry. Transunion and Experian up a couple points but still i don't get 40-50 point difference. Judging from my emails with Equifax and the comments here no one else understands it either. LOL
