Why is there a difference

Hi All I need some help.  My wife and I have recently begun looking at selling our house & upsizing.  When our mortgage broker pulled our scores, her score was pretty close to what I pulled (within a 5-8 point margin of error) however mine was between 50-70 points lower.  I pulled my 3 bureau score directly from Transunion last week so I know what it is at the bureaus.  Needless to say, this was more than a little surprising.  I've Googled why is there a difference and I'm not finding anything that clearly explains why the difference.  The broker is saying that the score he pulls uses different risk analytics than what I can pull.  However, I'm still not clear on why the difference particularly given what I pulled came straight from the bureaus.  Can someone help me understand the difference?  Needless to say, we have suspended our search until we can get clarity on why there is such a drastic difference.

Mortgage lenders use Fico 04. What you get at the CRAs is typically a FAKO score that no lender uses, some of the CRAs may sell a Fico score so you would need to look and see if the score states its a FIco. Even the 3 basic scores you will get here at My Fico are Fico 08 and will be different from a Fico 04 mortgage score

Thanks for the help, is there a way for an individual to pull FICO 04?

If you purchase the 3 bureau report from here you will get additional scores besides the standard FICO 08 ones to include your FICO 04 score for EQ and EX as well as your auto enhanced scores.  The report, as of now, does not include the TU scores for 04
