Why no FICO 4?

I keep reading that nobody is using FICO 8 and everybody is using FICO 4.

Of course, I came to myfico.com to get a real FICO score and not a FAKO score and what happens?  They give me all the FICO scores that nobody is using and no access to the one score that everybody is using?

What gives?  Does this seem like a scam to anybody else?

Where do I need to go to get a real FICO 4 score?

Re: Why no FICO 4?

First, not sure where you got the information that nobody is using Fico 08. In fact, it's the opposite - it is the most used score. Mortgage lenders are using Fico 04, but the majority of credit card issuers are using 08. If you want the Fico 04 scores, simply purchase the 3 bureau reports of the 3B monitoring. It now includes the score.

Single agency reports provide the various scores as well.

Re: Why no FICO 4?

I have subscribed to the 3B monitoring.

That's what I'm complaining about - it's not included.

I have a Fico 8, a Fico 5 (which myfico says is the one commonly used in mortgage lending), an Auto score 8 and an Auto score 5, and a Bankcard score 8, a bankcard score 5, and an auto score 2 and bankcard score 2 that seems to be specific to experian.  (Now that I'm staring at it, the 5s look to be equifax specific) and the Transunion only includes the main Fico 8 - no bankcard or auto.

All these different scores and no Fico 4.

The only thing I'm assured of is that any time I talk to a lender, they'll tell me my score is entirely different than what I'm seeing at myfico.com.

I suggest you read the link below so that you can understand the terminology used.  The FICO 5 that you state you see is the FICO 04 model.

LOL... of course.

Why wouldn't 5 mean 4?

<head slap>  Thank you.

I agree it can be confusing.
