Will this change my score?

I have a judgement from rent that was 2 wks late when I was sick.  I paid within 1 week of the verdict.  I have a letter of satisfaction from the Magistrate, but Experian (only one reporting) is just reporting that there was a verdict.  If I dispute this and have it listed as satisfied, will this change my score at all?

Re: Will this change my score?

It should, although with EX, it can be an uphill battle.

If you don't know how to go about doing this (I understand that there are some different strategies with judgments), please post back here, and I'll move your thread to General Credit Issues.

Re: Will this change my score?

I had disputed before and it came back as "remains as listed".   I spoke with the Magistrate's office and they said no one even contacted them to verify.  She resent me the letter of satisfaction, so I am going to fax Experian a dispute tomorrow with a copy of the Letter of Satisfaction.  I'm hoping to get a fast resolution on this.  We are hoping to move, and it will definitely help our cause.
