I've only had one inquiry in the past 5 or 6 years, and I've been waiting patiently for it to fall off. It did! Right exactly on its 2-year anniversary date.
I don't know yet what, if any, change this will make in my scores, but just seeing '0' for number of inquiries feels good.
Ironically, it comes at a time when my usage is at its all-time highest--that's what remodeling your house can do! Oh well, I'm still happy it's gone.

Congratulations.
Not to rain on your parade, but it shouldn't have any effect, since inquiries lose their FICO scoring effect after the first year.
More importantly, what kind of human being are you, that you can be on this forum and not apply for anything requiring a hard pull over a periof of 5 or 6 years?
That type of iron will deserves....... a medal?

Ha ha ha! That made me laugh out loud, for real! ![]()
I know you're right about its impact dropping after the first year, but its presence on my report just bugged me. I wanted it gone. And now it is!
Gardening is kind of my thing--see my username!
(Truthfully, my name's creation had *nothing* to do with 'gardening' as used here--I was unaware of that usage until AFTER joining.) I guess I really just have all the accounts I need, or want. Really, I keep talking about paring down...but rarely ever actually do anything about it. I HAVE gotten some new credit lines, but they were truly pre-approved and did not involve a HP. Oh, I'll admit to having been tempted, quite a few times! Every week I get a ton of offers, some good, some great, some insulting.
Everything from the best cards the best banks offer to awful cards with sky-high APRs from banks I wouldn't touch with a 10' pole (read: CreditOne). But they all end up in the shredder eventually. ![]()

Congrats! Well you know when it comes time for the next gem. You sure as heck arent credit seeking. Pick one. Us rebuilders wont have 3 goose eggs for a while. ![]()

Thanks!
I was just about to get the highest gem (diamond?)....and then I inadvertently screwed up! I accepted a pre-approved, no HP personal loan offer from Amex, so I thought I was good.
Oops. ![]()
I forgot that since that would open a new ACCOUNT, it would be considered a new credit line and disqualify my gardening score. After being THAT CLOSE, I just haven't been able to bring myself to starting over with that sad little seedling again! Maybe in six months or so I'll be ready to add gardening back to my sig. ![]()

Don't feel bad. Now we can relate to you on a human level, instead of just holding you up on a pedestal.
