I always zeroed out my balances before the statement closing date and my scores stagnated. I tried leaving a 1% balance on my cards before the closing statement date and I saw a sizeable jump (double digits) in the scores. According to the credit bureaus, all my cards were 'dormant' because of the zeroes on my credit report.

@Msafiri732  oh wow!  Thank you for sharing your experience!  Have you ever tried doing AZEO? I'm wondering if doing that would have the same affect for you that letting every card report has.

I actually did AZEO and it had a positive effect by raising the scores and removing the notation 'Not using revolving credit', but leaving balances on the other cards (albeit 1%) dinged my scores! So what I do is swap cards each month on which one shows a balance and it works great!

@Msafiri732 thank you for this feed back!  I love AZEO! It really can help boost your scores and keep you in a great postion for the next time you want to apply for credit. That's a neat strategy you hae rotating your cards. I tried this one time before, switching my  card I use for AZEO to a different card, but I messed up with the timing. I ended up having 0 cards report for that month. Thankfully of course the next month I regained those lost points when the next statement date hit. Since then I said next time I'll just have 2 cards report for a month when I want to switch things up.
