Re: a 4 point drop

I have had the first care credit card for years, used frequently,  they sent me a new card to replace the card I could not find, that new card I never received, so they closed the account and I had to reapply for a new one.

I'm not sure why they had to issue you a new account to replace a lost card, but if there are now two care credit accounts on your credit report, the new account is the reason for the score loss

That doesn't make much sense   If you lost your card , they normally cancel that card number and issue you a new card . Why did you have to apply ?

normally they just update your account with new account number .

4 pts?  Could be due to an interpretation that there's a new account reporting, due to a new inquiry, or a balance change on any other unrelated account.
