clean/dirty/thick/thin...where the heck do i fall and what does it mean?

Just read through the primer above and supporting threads.  Wow you guys deserve a pultizer.  what amazing, concise, digestable information.  so thankful to have found this place.

One thing im still unclear on is Fico scorecards

Clean, dirty, thick, thin ... whats most desirable and whats it mean?

I have 100% payment history with no baddies.  Age of oldest revolver is 6 years 4 months.  youngest revolver.  youngest is 1 year 9 months.  oldest installment is 17 years 8 months (student loan)  youngest is 11 months (auto loan).

i have 7 revolving accounts... 4 bankcards and 3 store cards (paypal, walmart, amazon),  I have 3 installment loans... 1 auto and 2 student loan

I have 9 hard inqueries.  3 from 2018, 3 from 2019, 3 from 2020.

where would i fall for scorecard, and how does that effect me/penalize me, etc..

Yours would be Clean/Thick/Aged. You're doing just fine. The best you could do to maximize your score right now is have one card reporting a small balance with others at $0 (AZEO, All Zero Except One).

But that's something you would do right before applying for a new card, loan, mortgage - anything that looks at one of your credit scores.

4 segmentation factors on clean profiles. Clean/Thick/Aged/No New Account is your card.

You are in the top card. It means you will experience more stability in scores despite changes and be dinged less for HP's, as compared to other scorecards.

You can reach the max scores possible. Yours is the lowest risk scorecard, but don't tell that to the resilience score!

As you go down the scorecards, they are higher risk and therefore penalties/awards become larger. Likewise, some scoring metrics are weighted differently among the scorecards. There's a lot we don't know.

But, if you were to bring utilization down, you would see an increase. Plus, adding age to your AAORA will probably help as well as letting the inquiries age off. A little time.

And Cassie is correct, the best thing you can do is AZEO when you need the best score and let time pass.

@Anonymous You pretty much know my details per sig and discussions and I am of the thinking I'm not in the top tier scorecard due to my AoYRA being less than 1 year.??

Re: clean/dirty/thick/thin...where the heck do i fall and what does it mean?

Installment accounts don’t count in AOYRA, remember when I discovered that? (which has been reconfirmed.) So he doesn’t have a qualifying revolver under 12 months.

@Trudy, you are Clean/thick/aged/New Account due to your 8 month old revolver.

Yeah, I do recall that and now track both revolver and installment AAoA separately.

So the distinction with New Account in regard to scorecard assignment is only relevant with revolvers?  So one could have a 1mth old installment and if all other things remain as noted, its the top of the top tier scorecards?

@Trudy You could consider it the #2 card probably, though and you’ll be back to #1 in 4 months!
