does just 1 inquiry hurt your score?

I am looking for the best  rate to finance a new car, I have good credit and previous loans and such, alot of accounts and that ttuff, without getting into much detail, my scores are 734,748,725  so I should be prime, but I have 2 inquiries and my score hasnt chaged yet, I know it used to after just 1-2.  I heard someone say they  treat inquiries different now? is this true?

If so, when the end of 14 days is up, if I have 9 inquiries, will it drop just as 1 inquire like 5 pts, or like 50 pts..

thanks

Auto loan INQs are deduplicated if done within that 14 day time period. Most report a 0-10 point loss for an INQ.

I don't know how many points your score will drop because I don't know the exact scoring formula or all the specifics on your CR

BUT

I do know that multiple inquires for car loans or mortgages have the same effect as just one inquiry if within that 2 week time period.

Re: does just 1 inquiry hurt your score?

ok glad to know. Im pretty savy when it comes to credit scores and stuff like that, and I have a good history, no lates, and over 20 accts on all 3 bureau's 4 of which are auto loans, som e big, and paid off..

I have never been turned down for credit since I was actaully an established individual back in 01 when I started making my score toward the 700 mark.

well, you all wouldnt beleive who has turned me down!  Im really upset and I make very good income for myself.

Chase, capital one (but is offering somewhat to accept) this is beyond crazy!  chase didnt even say anything but sorry we are not able to approve you.. lmao! I have 730-750's scores, and i would understand it I hadnt had credit or much before, but I am a very built individual

wow.. capital one had approved me many times for several autos

what times were in
