VantageScore? Developed by the big 3, but only factors EX's report data. CCT offers the PLUS score and there's a score for each. EX also has freecreditreport and that factors EX only (PLUS also).

so the vantage score was developed by asking the 3 bureaus for input basically but it only factors info from the experian report? OR when the score is pulled is it using the info from all 3 reports to develop a score?

It only factors EX on experian's website. Now Vantage is available for the other two, but was primarily developed to compete with FICO within the mortgage-industry.

i see. maybe more lenders will start using vantage if it is supposed to be a better judge.

That's their problem. It isn't a better judge. It has been so inaccurate for lenders, who have tried it, that they often come back to FICO. There's some webinars on FICO.com that involve Q&A from lenders. It is interesting to hear their take on the problems Vantage presents.

Also, the formula, as you know, is way off as compared to FICO's. I do know they do not include AUs into scoring. CAs factor into your history. And, I think, the utilization is scored more towards available balance vs. utilization. In other words, those who have higher CLs are better of that those who do not.
