fico 620, what do i need to do?

if my aim is to get my credit score> 620, what are some the characteristics as far as fico scoring?  i'm just wondering what are some acceptable baddies, such as no lates in the last 2 years, 1 year, ever, no ca, or no recent ca.  i would like to finally get my credit score to atleast fair, and not BAD.  thanks for any insight.

To get the best response possible from some of the knowledgeable board members its best to post your tradelines, their age, any baddies you may have, and your current balances/utilization on them.

I've read about people working miracles, and if you don't have any recent baddies and are able to pay down balances I would think you should be able to reach 620 fairly quickly.

What do you mean recent baddies? What's considered recent? and do you suggest I pay them or just keep up with my new credit lines?
