Re: generally new credit holder, need some help

i'm pretty excited too, on the 3rd or 4th i get to see if they'll give me a big cli or not!

sadly the uber card was just "re-launched" and totally ruined. i only got it last week too. i can use it for another 6mo before it switches over then i'll have to find another restraunt card. i was trying to have all my bases covered for food with bce & uber. not sure what i'll replace it with yet.

that’s awesome, lmk how it goes!

maybe the relaunch might be for the best, better now than later amirite? tons of better offers out right now n you’re current lineup seems pretty good, esp for us “newbies” to credit Smiley Very Happy

Re: generally new credit holder, need some help

that was the best no fee restraunt card, i don't think anything else comes close to what it was. a lot of people now are looking at the wells fargo propel to replace it with but that's just a 3% card, and there's many other 3% cards. capital1 savor is 4% but the fee is a dealkiller for me. what other offers do you think are better?

yeah my lineup is pretty good considering i've only got 8 or 9 months total history Smiley Happy i'm being very careful with which ones i add and when so that i can get approvals. each card has built my history enough to get another better one like stepping stones. once i have a few more i will no longer be a thin-file but i'm going to add those ones more slowly.

Re: generally new credit holder, need some help

danggg, yeah i was thinking about savor but its a 3%, 95 fee for 4% dining is a deal killer indeed. Not sure tbh

you're file is thickening for sure, im hoping for my second card overall come the 7th Smiley Very Happy

Re: generally new credit holder, need some help

Sorry for the late response but I’ve been occupied. Here’s my advice wait until that Discover card turns 12 months old, you’re going to get a score boost. That should be tomorrow you’ll get some points and depending on your profile it could be decent.

Plus you said you were reducing utilization anyway. Then go get the card you want and you’ll get a better APR because your score will be higher.
