give me some points already! last CA fell of of EQ and NOTHING as usuall

My EQ is at 711. This morning I logged into credit check total, I noticed  EQ fako was up 69 points. I looked closer and saw my last and only CA on EQ was now gone. I now have just one baddie on EQ and that is for a repo from 2002. So I get excited and I log into here and purchase my score to see that it is the same as it was before the CA fell off. What the hell is going on? I have read numerous claims about people seeing huge gains when their CA's get deleted. On the other hand, its not always the score, but the content of the report and I am glad to be down to just one baddie on EQ, considering back in mid 06 I had too many to count.

Since you bought your score here, can you confirm if the CA is gone from your EQ report here as well? (It should be.)

If you still had a newer CA on the report, your score might not change, but you said that this was your last and only.

If the CA is gone, any charge-off, 90-day, 120-day, BK, tax lien, etc still showing?

My repo is reporting (1) 90 day late, from Nov. 2002. The CA was gone from here as well. I even went as far as to pull a report directly from EQ and the CA is not showing on any of them. The repo should be gone in 9-09 and EQ will be clean! and Yes it was the last and only CA still showing prior to today.

Was the CA older than the repo? How is the repo being reported (CO, public record, etc.)

When we have serious derogs on our reports, it puts us into one of the bad score buckets. The newest and most severe derog drives your score, so while it's important to get all the junk off, there won't be big changes as long as other serious derogs are there, especially if they were newer than the others.

If the repo was older than the CA, then I agree, that does not make sense.

The repo is younger, it is being reported in the account section as a CO. I was thinking that since it is as old as it is, it should have a minimal effect on my score, and may even be helping more than hurting due to age. I could be wrong though. All I can do is pay bills on time and wait for this to drop off. On the other hand, I have 7 new acconts opened in the last year, this is probably not helping me much.

Ah, that might be it. As I understand, a CO carries the same weight as a CA, so if it's more recent, it's the one that was driving your scores.

It seems incredibly unfair, I know!

I have a 90-day late, and it's counted the same. 90-day = 120-day = CO = CA, if I'm remembering correctly. Plus a 60-day less than 2 years old.

So maybe no immediate points help, but it's one less serious derog on your reports, and you're that much closer to clean history.
