i just found out recent that my grandfather has a bank of america card opened from 1961.. 57 years older than my current credit age. He has no issue with adding me as AU but i ask will this do anything? I have decent 730-740 scores currently with auto and revolving as my mix, coming 4 years credit age in November. thanks

Have him add you, wait a few months, and report back

I'm guessing it will help, assuming his utilization is low. But as @Kforce suggests, you'll never know until you try it.
This would be a pretty interesting data point, if you do this definately let us know once things start updating!
