individual utilization? how important is it?

one of my accounts is $1,400 overlimit because of late and overlimit fees. i now have a reduced APR and payment plan to bring the account underlimit. how much is this one account effecting my fico? how many points should i get once this one account is under the limit?

i imagine it's hurting you quite a bit, considering it's so much over the limit.  but i don't think there's any way to tell you how much it's affecting you per se.

What is your total util.  Also EX seems to be more focused on indie util then say TU which is more # cards reporting a balance.

You must pay that card down since it could effect your other cards if they do a review.  The scores will take of themselves.

This has been my experience, as well.  I've found that individual utilization is quite significant on EX.

What are your current scores? What is your overall util? How many open CCs do you have? How many have balances? Any baddies, and how old are they?

Re: individual utilization? how important is it?

almost all accounts have balances fused and about 8 open ccs , 2 mortgages, 2 installment.

TU- 518, EQ- 482, EX- 450 as of 10/10/2008. most baddies are 1-1.5 years old.

It's difficult to say how much of an impact an OTL CC is having on your scores. In general, the thinner the file, the greater impact an OTL CC will have...but it's not absolute. Having balances on most of your accounts is hurting you some, but I think the baddies and the OTL are both tanking your scores. These two things could be tanking your scores 200+ points.
