well, It looks like the 'advice' from MyFico isn't any more consistent. 

Maybe I can answer my own question, when I ask: 

Q: How does it say two totally different things?

A: Because computers are dumb  (I should know, I program them sometimes!)

That card just gives you rewards that you can apply towards your mortgage, but it doesn't allow you pay your mortgage payment with it to earn rewards on that payment.
