my Score just increase 59 points, for no apparent reason

Interesting, for no apparent reason, no deletions from the baddies but my score just went up 59 points. Yes I am so excited. I just hope the magical points do not disappear -

Re: my Score just increase 59 points, for no apparent reason

I'm not really sure the reason - if it was AAOA - I don't think the Utlization changed....Probably a baddie could have dropped off but My FIco said there were no changes to my report....I just hope i don't lose the points. 59 point increase is HUGE....

Huge indeed. I'd want to know why. I'd pull a report to figure out what changed.

Re: my Score just increase 59 points, for no apparent reason

Hi Byrd Man - I know there is a real reason, however it is not due to a collection account falling off - that is coming soon - I did pay for delete a collection account, so it wasn't because of that - it has NOT been removed. Maybe it's the AAOA  or a baddie just fell off. I'll take it!! I'm very happy about it.

I can't imagine that much of an increase from AAoA. This has the makings of either massive util change or a baddie falling off.

Re: my Score just increase 59 points, for no apparent reason

I think its because of baddie falling off. When my discover card was removed from EQ my score went from 709 to 759.

Well I subscribe to scorewatch - and apparently there were no changes to my credit report - but then again, does scorewatch tell you that a collection fell off?

Nope. SW alerts don't give the full picture. It especially won't alert you to a baddie falling off like a late or a CA. You'd have to pull your report to see the exact change.

I wish SW would alert to that. I once got a SW alert that my FICO score went up 20 points because an inquiry was added. Now we know that inquiries doing result in point increases. It was a baddie falling off that resulted in the increase.
