Re: myFico data feed/updates not occurring and missing info

Ok, so there are a few excuses/explanations as to why ck triggers certain actions that don't occur on myfico, but it still does not explain why 2HP on EX several months prior to my myfico subscription are not on the myfico reports. If one were relying solely on the reports and data provided by this feed to determine apps, it can cause frustration with denials.

My TU hp for my mortgage app never triggered an alert by my fico. Eq showed up after a week, EX after 10 days. TU no notification and its going on 30 days. I got tu immediately on CK eq after 2 days on CK.

I've never gotten an update from TU - for anything. There is some kind of incomprehensible "baseline" that TU must establish before it starts generating alerts. Something about having to add two new accounts.

ETA: Found the info:

4. After enrolling in the monitoring service, a baseline has been set at TransUnion. The initial or first credit event will set a baseline against which all future changes are measured and alerted against. So using the example below, the first NEW CREDIT CARD #1 will set the baseline and no alert will be triggered. The second NEW CREDIT CARD #2 will result in a change to the monitored baseline and should trigger a New Account Alert. What this means to you is that there will likely be a delay of when you start receiving account balance change alerts for TransUnion.

This seems to be correct -- I had one new account added since my subscription. EQ updated, EX updated 3 days later, no updates at all from TU. When Cap one and/or Discover reports my new account, that should trigger NEW CARD #2 and force a TU update. Have to wait and see, but at least I now know it is working and how it works.

Yes, frequently TU will appear as an Alert on one day, and the "date of alert" will be two or three days in the past, it is put in the timeline of alerts according to the "date of alert", earlier.

Thus, the need to be patient to wait for the alerts to make their way through the databases.

I've noticed this too.  Kinda strange.

Re: myFico data feed/updates not occurring and missing info

Same here. Called myfico because I too thought updates would be daily... They are not even weekly. I have been waiting for Experian to update on myfico...it updated on 3/3 and not since? The rep I spoke with said we don't update the credit reporting agency does... I then asked what is the point of my subscription? I then cancelled it as I get a free weekly update from credit karma... Transunion is THE worst. Impossible to get any updates thought dispute process and took complaint to the consumer credit reporting bureau...

I believe myFico checks daily, but it doesn't "upate" unless there has been a change reported to or by one of the CRA's.

Hey pfarro1, could I know how many points on your EQ and EX CS have been decreased by your HPs? I am going have lender do a HP on my CS as well.  Thanks Smiley Happy

Re: myFico data feed/updates not occurring and missing info

The past few days I have been having issues with the 3B Monitoring as well. I haven't gotten my "All clear" alerts. For me TU usually updates Tues (if no change), and EX & EQ update on TH or FR (again if no changes. All clear alerts is what I mean).

I know that I have balance changes, and EQ is especially sensitive to balance changes. TU not so much. I know what days my balances update in myfico.

I believe myFico is having issues with either their alert notification server, (emails not going out) or the data feeds are failing.

It's been really slow the last few weeks.  I noticed last week that CK reported balance decrease and a collection that dropped off but not a peep out of myFico.  This week, CK reported a CL increase and utilization decrease and again, not a peep out of myFico.

Re: myFico data feed/updates not occurring and missing info

Glad to know I'm not the only one wondering what's going on. Since subscribing, I've had a collection item added, paid off AND deleted from my CR but Myfico stalled at it being added. I find it odd that the CB would send ME a letter notifying me that its been deleted but not report it to MYFICO??? Also, I had an item go from unpaid to paid but MYFICO tells me my score HAS NOT been effected?? AND then on top of all that I get THREE SEPERATE EMAILS from MYFICO about not seeing any MONITORED changes! Maybe I expected too much but I figure if I'm paying for the service it would be an overall better service than the free one I already have (ck).

I'll give it another billing cycle and if I dont' see the benefits by then I'll have no choice but to cancel the subscription.

Re: myFico data feed/updates not occurring and missing info

Paying a CA, of that's the one you referred to, rarely has a positive impact on scores. In fact, just the act of updating a CA to paid can decrease your score if the TL has not been updating monthly.
