my car payment is due the 4th and the 19 th. Of every month. I've been a payment behind but making payments. Last month I paid on the 19th ( the due date) and I noticed technically it was on the 31st day of the month . I freaked out thinking a 30 day late will post to my credit. Same thing happened with my capital one I paid on the 31st day but on the due date and Myfico alert came in okay on time just utilization change . Hopefully same with my auto loan....can anyone with similar concern answer this concern.

Not fully certain I understand your question, but just standard reporting:
If you miss a payment, and it doesn't get resolved within 30 days afterwards, the notation will be made in your file 30+ days late.
If you resolve it within the 30 days, you'll likely pay additional late files still, but won't wind up in your credit file.

OK, let me see if I got this right - the payment that was due May 19th, was made on the following due date, June 19th, is that correct? And the same goes for the Cap One payment?
I think that technically they *could* ding you for a 30 day late (but I could be wrong). BUT, I think that banks will overlook it in months that are 31 days in length, seeing as they are required by law to have the due date the same day of the month no matter how long the month is. As long as you get that payment in on or before the next due date you *should* be ok.
I hope you are able to get caught up soon, thats a bad position to be in. (BTDT)
OP, I have removed your duplicate post on this in the General Credit Forum, please refrain from cross posting the same topic. Thanks for your understanding.
To Norman.
i hope your right...I technically paid my cap one 31 days late and I carefully watched Myfico and everything posted ok ....i wanna think the 32 day logic that passed with capital one will pass with drivetime auto
It is possible ( and quite probable ) that paying 30 days late consistently can result in 12 30-day late dings every year. The first late is caught up by what you thought was the next payment on time, but the bank applies it to the older due payment.
What is keeping the payments from being made exactly on the correct due date?
Just got behind because of some unforeseen stuff....in the last 2 years I've been paying everytning on time
