New card (15 of 16) reported on EX.
806 to 803.
This on the heels of 3 recent INQ's and a mortgage refi that reported about a week ago. With this card, AAoA on EX dropped from 7.2 to 6.9.
Wonder if the 17th card will knock me below 800 when it reports? 😳
EQ & TU will also take a hit, but remain comfortably dark green.
EQ | 850 | 2 INQ (Auto, Mort) | 7y4m |
EX | 850 | 6 INQ (2 CC, 2 mort, 2 auto) | 7y |
TU | 850 | 1 INQ (CC) | 6y8m |
3/24 | 1/12 | AoYA 10m | AoOA 24y2m | ~1% |
How many new accounts/inq's in the past year? The colors really dont mean much. Its the numbers.
4 accounts in the past year:
Mortgage refi last October; refi'd again last month.
New cards Nov '20 and last month (just reported).
5 INQs on EX in the past year :
3 of them in the past 30 days: 1 resulting in a new card, 1 for a CLI, and the last for a card that isn't reporting yet.
(The others for the new refi and last November's new card.)
EQ | 850 | 2 INQ (Auto, Mort) | 7y4m |
EX | 850 | 6 INQ (2 CC, 2 mort, 2 auto) | 7y |
TU | 850 | 1 INQ (CC) | 6y8m |
3/24 | 1/12 | AoYA 10m | AoOA 24y2m | ~1% |
You may drop below 800 for only a short time. Your scores are already strong and the hits are less severe rather than a rebuilder. Over 760 is just as good as 800 to lenders. There are some who'd love to have your scores either way. Congrats!
So it goes.
Five or so years ago, they were in the mid-600's. A single 30-day late will wreak havoc upon one's scores.
Dragged them above 700 in early 2017 and, a year later, above 800.
EX has always been the canary in my coalmine, and TU always the kindest.
EQ | 850 | 2 INQ (Auto, Mort) | 7y4m |
EX | 850 | 6 INQ (2 CC, 2 mort, 2 auto) | 7y |
TU | 850 | 1 INQ (CC) | 6y8m |
3/24 | 1/12 | AoYA 10m | AoOA 24y2m | ~1% |
EX removes closed accounts much sooner than the other two. Almost everyone's AAoA will be less with them than the other two. With me, all over 800, but EQ 30 points higher than EX.
