score deviation

i am tryiing to rebuild my scores and have paid up most all my collection accounts (medical) and have no late payments in 18 months of store cc, bank cc, personal loan and mortgage.   all are good.  HOWEVER, my equifax score is 90 points lower than my TU and experian scores    these are all from My FICO (not FAKO)  I called My Fico and the gentleman really couldnt explain why the difference - something about a different product?!  My credit reports are all the same - same accounts, etc.   If anything is different, its the fact that my Equifax shows my 0 balance on my cards quicker than the other two - you think that score would be higher rather than lower!  anyone out there able to explain this 90 point swing?  10 - 30 ok, i can live with but 90!!!!

Re: score deviation

Welcome to the forums!

I would lay each CR side by side to look for subtle and not-so-subtle differences. Look especially at the 2nd and 3rd pages of TU and EQ to see what is hurting your score. If any of those numbers (like for avg. age, total history, age of any lates or baddies) are different, then you likely have your culprit. And look at the Credit-At-A-Glance page for differences. Even one extra account, especially if a collection or public record, could through your scores way off.

If everything is an exact copy, then I would look at any lates and make sure they are reporting exactly the same. Look for open dates as those can throw off your history and your Score. Look to make sure all balances match. And look for any baddie's "reported date" as that too can throw things off. Finally, look at the comments. Check those differences too.

Post back if you have any questions.

Re: score deviation

llecs is right.

But if everything is exactly same....(somehow I doubt this), you'll eventually come to realize (not accept--but just realize) that EQ is harder on you with anything derogatory.
