What are all these designations? Super contributer....etc.

What does it mean?

And do myFICO employees monitor these posts? And exactly how is the material on the forum used by MyFICO?

Not to sound distrustful, but it is a credit scoring company.

Once you become a Regular Contributor, it means you can leap over dollhouses with a running start.

Super Contributors can jump over doghouses in three steps.

MV doesn't have to show you a median FICO score.
MV doesn't have to show me a median FICO score.

These aren't the AUs you're looking for.

But seriously...

These designatation are based on a combination of 3 things: number of posts, number of logins, and total time logged in.  They are only used to indicate to the community member's level of participation and don't carry any additional privileges with them.  That is, a Super Contributor designation doesn't provide any permissions that a New Visitor doesn't get.

And, yes, some members of the myFICO team read these posts on a regular basis, although monitoring these boards are no one's primary job here (including myself).  The posts here are used by myFICO in a number of ways, including:
  • We get a better understanding of what our users want from us, and what they like and don't like about our products.
  • Links to selected threads are sent in a monthly email to opted-in myFICO customers as way of spreading the word that there is a wealth of consumer information to be found in the FICO Forums.  (This is currently the only marketing use of the material here.)
  • Our tech folks can be alerted to potential issues with our products, i.e. Score Watch alerts, to the point where we research certain situations that arise here and are often in direct contact with the users who bring them to our attention.
  • While Fair Isaac folks are the experts in credit scoring, we are not in the credit reporting or lending businesses, so we often learn new things about practices within these industries right along with you.
  • They are fun to read!

And lastly, Zen, are you implying that you don't trust the credit scoring industry?Smiley Very Happy
