How do I add a hyperlink in my signature???

I have everything , except for the URL part, that goes in between the quote marks.

What part of this common abbreviations address do I use?

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/fico/board/message?board.id=rebuildingcredit&thread.id=584&jump=true

Searched here and google and still couldn't get it to work.

Got close---- enough --- for horseshoes, but with this, I found out has to be exactly.

Re: How do I add a hyperlink in my signature???

Well, I do it the hard way, in html. Since you're mentioning quotation marks, it sounds like you're doing the same.

When I'm linking to a specific thread, I go to it, hit the previous thread button, then the next thread button. This gets me back to the original post, but when I look in the window, it has the bare minimums in the address (no "true" and "jump", etc.) I highlight and copy the address. So anyway, that's what goes between the quotes. Put the name of the thread in the second part, between the > < section.

So it will look like this, except that there's an extra space which you'll have to remove:

< a href="copy paste the URL here">type in the name that you want to display here< /a>

(remove the spaces after the first < and the last <)

Re: How do I add a hyperlink in my signature???

Glad to help! That's exactly the way I learned.

When I first started here, we didn't have the graphical editor for Firefox. So I kinda had to learn html the hard way, by clicking "reply" to someone's post, studying how the smileys and all were created, and muddle on from there. But it took forever to figure out the links. I think it was athensguy who rescued me.

I know it took a month or so to understand the smileys. Every now and again I come across an old thread where I'm wailing away, unable to find the menu bar with the smileys, because there wasn't one.

And as for learning how to post links to screenshots, yikes.

Anyway, that's how we all learn stuff around here. And the tech help forum is probably the least-visited one. I don't know how I missed this one in the first place.
