Hello all...
I've noticed that on some posts, of which many are not that old, the Kudo button is missing. Is there a time limit, or other reason for this? Thanks.
Probably threads in the SmorgasBoard. You can't give kudos to those posts nor do they count in your post count for ranks.

No time limit that I know of, old posts can be kudoed, also posts on locked threads can be kudoed.

I did not know this...I wonder why the distinction. Thanks for the info.

It's likely related to the fact that Smorgas comments don't count towards user post totals, so they prob disabled kudos as well

Understood...and thanks. However, why the decision not to count them? They are still contributions to the community, regardless of their actual content relating to credit issues. It is what it is, I guess. Have a great day!

I wasn't involved in the change but this was the announcement at the time:
The reason for this change is to more accurately measure your level of community participation by applying more weight to the credit-related topics than the off-topic discussions. We still enjoy and appreciate your comments here, though, so please don't don't stop posting to "Gas"!

Thanks again for the information, but be forewarned...I may start to rely on you for answers...lol. At any rate, I suppose weighing credit content more heavily on a credit education/monitoring website makes sense.
