So I bought this 3 bureau credit monitoring product here a week ago. The alert subrscription I have with experian hasnt expired yet and the other day I got alerts from them. My score went up, credit utilization went down and credit account balances decreased. I got NO alerts on my new alert product with my Fico. When I go to my alerts page on the site it says no alerts. I should get alerts for experian and equifax. Anyone have the same issue?
Hi buster43,
I'm going to move your post to the MyFICO product forum. There are several posts there on similar issues, including this: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/myFICO-Product-Feedback/FICO-3-Bureau-Credit-Monitoring-Issues-and-T...
Yes I have the exact issue. I subscribed last week because I need to know the moment my scores go up in order to do a VA Loan. My TranUnion was showing old balances and missing a new account so the score was much lower than it should be. On Friday I pulled a TU credit report from the annual free site, no score. The info had all been updated but no alert or score increase from here. I called customer service and they gave me a bunch of poor excuses. They said they are only a 3rd party service and are dependent on the reporting agencies to give them accurate info. They suggested waiting a week or two to see if the alerts start working.
I asked to speak to a manager and basically got the same runaround. I explained that if they were to refresh the reports, they could see exactly what I am talking about. She told me that they do not have the ability to refresh reports and that we only get one a year, PERIOD. This crap simply does not work as advertised and I think that being locked into a 60 day commitment on a faulty product is unacceptable. I'm cancelling asap and going back to Experian's 3 bureau monitoring. The scores can't be that much different and any time I ever had an issue, they would refresh the reports for free as a courtesy, even though you should only get one per MONTH. I aked the lady if myFico offered any courtesies to their customers and she said "unfortunately not".
I bought into all of the hype that FICO scores are the only accurate scores, but my mortgage broker says that even FICO is not accurate when it comes to mortgages and some other types of credit. My personal opinion is that the 3 bureau monitoring from myFico is a load of bunk.
I'm having the same issues. I haven't gotten any kind of alert period. Not even a "your score has not changed". Not worth 19.99 a month.
After all of my hell raising this morning, I finally received an alert that my Equifax dropped 3 pts due to a new CC account. (BS because all of my other scores went up last week for the same account). My TransUnion balance update last Friday got me another 40 pts on all of the other monitoring sites, yet still no word of that from myFico. My original intent was to sign up for myFico and drop the others, but no way is that happening now. Since my mortgage guy says that myFico is no better of an indication than the others, I'm really starting to question why everyone says they are the most accurate to begin with. I am thinking it is all a sham. My Equifax score dropped 60 points today on the Experian monitoring service. I called Equifax and they said they saw no reason for that and that their internal score had not dropped at all in recent days. Of course, given that info they wanted me to sign up for their monitoring service. I wonder just how much money we all waste on monitoring only to get different stories from every provider? I could be on the verge of burning 3 hard pulls with the mortgage guy just to find out that their system is even lower than FICO. Then I'm screwed for 6 more months.
I get no update or alerts from my cell and it's starting to get annoying. I'm thinking about cancelling as I get alerts from credit sesame and credit karma before I get anything from the 3b. So frustrating.
