The thing I dont understand is I paid my cc ballances off before my ststements cut as I do every month and should show a "0" ballance. I am now being allerted of a ballance increase on all of my cards. I think the issue lies with the cc co. I made the payment a few days before the statement cutoff date and for some reason it didnt post untill the day of the statement cut which then showed a ballance even though it was paid. Looks like I will have to start paying a few mre days out before the cut date. I always paid the same time every month and this is the first time this has happened. So I guess my fault for paying too close to cutoff.

Could it be that it is a lender that does not report 0 balances ?  That would explain that only when there is a balance reported the alerts would come. I would try to let 1$ report and see if the result is any different. Also in SW there is an option for the alert settings. You should set the alert to the present Fico score so it will trigger the alert as soon as it is 1 point lower or higher. This is for SW as I am not familiar at all with the 3-bureau monitoring and do not know how that interface looks like. Smiley Sad

edit:

Discover for example will skip reporting  the month you get a CLI.     No longer the case.

Discover for example will skip reporting the month you get a CLI. Like this there would also not be an alert because the lender did not report the balance to the CRAs

They didn't skip the month I got a CLI.

Re: Big lag in MyFico alerts

Yes. There is a lag. I have Experian Credit Tracker and I pull the report each day. A change on my Experian FICO may take several days or more to be reflected in an alert directly from FICO Credit Watcher.

Re: Big lag in MyFico alerts

I went to my credit union yesterday to get a pre approval for a car loan and before I got into my car to leave, Credit Karma sent me an alert of a hard inquiry. Nothing fom MyFico as of yet. The updates on MyFico are super slow. Or do they only ptade once a month?

Also, MyFico is showing my TU score at 670, my CU pulled it yesterday and it was 717.

My TU has never updated. The only way I've gotten fresh scores is to buy new reports.

Re: Big lag in MyFico alerts

I am 100% certain that Transunion is not reporting to MyFico 3-Reports right now.  Hasnt since about middle of January.  The reps will deny this, yet they will stumble on their words.  Call and ask them what triggers an alert.  I told them "I got a new card, a balance decrease on ALL my cards, new inquiries... if none of that triggers an alert....what does??  I know you guys are aware the TU isn't updating... all i ask for is an up-to-date report."  To which i was told "uhhh.... hold please... *few minutes later*  we will give you a code for three free reports, you can use them at any time"  If you don't believe me.  I bet not a single person on here has recieved an alert passed January 15th.

You would lose that bet for sure. I've received TU alerts since signing up a month ago. Having said that I also believe this product still has numerous bugs which need to be worked out based on the number of complaints lately and the lackluster/awful customer service doesn't help matters. I plan on canceling before the next billing cycle.

I have multiple alerts from TU for febuary and March (went from 755 in mid january to 809 mid march with many updates in between).  Now my EX and EQ havent updated since mid febuary but i pulled a new ex report a few days ago and got my updated score.

Re: Big lag in MyFico alerts

I dont know what the issues are but CK sends alerts very quickly. I dont use them for my score but just to watch my reports every week. Like I said earlier, it was'nt a half hour before I got the alert from CK about the hard pull. If something negative happens MyFico usually alerts fairly quickly. But when something possitive is reported..not so quickly. Especially over the last month or two.
