Re: Cancelling Membership-This is not a good service

I was disappointed in the lack of credit alerts.
My scores have all improved over the past month but no alerts.
I cancelled the service.
I have to pay for the scores anyway.
I am being told it will take 2 billing cycles before I will get the refund ...

RE: Beledona
I was told if Score Watch was not set properly you will not be notified of score changes through email alerts. I wonder if this has anything to do with not receiving alerts.

Are you just assuming your score changed on Equifax or paid for a new score and have proof that it changed. Just saying this because I expected a score change from an action and my score did not change. It was not a problem with score watch but a delayed score change built in to the FICO formula.

Just because a person had a score change on TransUnion or Experian, does not mean their score changed on Equifax. Score Power only reflects the scores on Equifax.

Email alerts... Only work if emails get to you. I suggest if you expect a change to log in and see if the change is reflected from your account after you log in.

It can not work for some and not others. I suggest calling tech support to show them that you have proof that your score changed on Equifax and it is not reflected in your Score Watch. See what they have to say. Then please repost. I would be very interest to see what they say.

Are you saying that you have both ScoreWatch from both MyFICO and Exuifax? And Equifax reported and MyFICO has not?

Yes it is now a day behind on score changes and inquiries. Since EQ supplies the data I assume it would be in their best interest to appear quicker on the draw. I don't know for a fact that the data is not available to both simultaneously but if it is then EQ is operating more efficiently.

I too will be cancelling myfico.  My score went up by 9 points today.  Equifax had the alert.  Myfico, however, did not.  Even though they claim to get their "timely" updates from Equifax.  I will continue with Score Watch from Equifax.

Re: Cancelling Membership-This is not a good service

A few days here and there does not bother me. I am in for the long haul, and think in terms of months to get where I want to be for the next step up
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

For people that have tried Score Watch from both Equifax and MyFICO, how do you compare the usefulness. Does MyFICO offer a better break down and other stuff compared to Equifax. A minor delay in alert times doesn't bother me if other factors were more rewarding.

Re: Cancelling Membership-This is not a good service

myFICO finally updated the alerts a day later. My experience is limited to just this month but both are nearly identical. I can get the EQ product a bit cheaper. Enough to buy two FICO reports over the course of a year.

Re: Cancelling Membership-This is not a good service

I also am not going to renew my subscription to this service.
Like most others, I did not get any Alerts, aside from the 1st one telling me I was now "protected".

Good thing I also have TC FAKO's, else I wouldn't have known there was a problem with my TU report costing upwards of 80 points.
I disputed it on TU and they fixed it in two days. I only wish EQ could be that efficient.

I'm not trying to be negative about MyFICO, as these forums have been quite informative, but is there any other monitoring service that has both real FICO's and allows you to "Monitor" your score yourself (i.e. not charge you extra $$ just for looking at your current score) ?

I for one would be willing to pay twice what the monthly rate here is to be able to pull my score once a day like TC's FAKOs allow.

Starting Score: 05/12/2007 was 724 average on all 3
Current Score: 02-10-2017 EQ=839 EX=837 TU=832
