Any updates on the two services' performance? I read that I can get the Equifax Scorewatch for $50.00 per year.

I won't be renewing either. I am a victim of identity theft and would like constant updates. Help has been great on the boards, but I am not crazy about score watch.

I've had this service since 2005 and I agree it's pretty useless. Like many at first I got alerts all the time, then the got slower and slower about getting alerts out to me. Now I get stupid alerts! Like today I got an alert that a cc had a balance increase of $292 so I thought oh lord someone has used my credit card. I log in to the cc account online and NO there was no balance increase last month as they reported and my current balance has not increased either! WATCH OUT! It's not so easy to cancel! If you have purchased the 1 year plan, watch out next year, cause your cc will get slammed with a $80 fee for renewal! That's how I've ended up with this service for this long! I can't seem to get rid of it!

Has anyone had this problem? I received an email on June 9 notifying me that my lousey trial subscription was about to end and I should click on this link here or I would automatically be converted to a full subscription. Okay, so I click on the link and follow the instructions to cancel and voila I get a message that my trial subscription has already converted to a full subscription. So I go back to the email and lo and behold my deadline for cancellation is supposedly June 16th. It's now only June 12th. What am I missing here? Now, I'm wondering, are they going to charge my credit card and if so, how many agencies will I have to contact and file a complaint with before they resolve this problem. Please be forewarned that this is how MYFICO.com operates. I'm writing this to warn you guys to be fully aware of this scam and take the appropriate steps necessary to cancel as soon as you possibly can. I'll be calling customer service tomorrow morning as soon as they open at 8am to let them know that this had better not show up on my credit card. If it does, I'm prepared to file a complaint with any agency that will listen until I get satisfaction. I'll let you know how and when this is resolved. By the way, I'm new and I should have said HI! first, but I'm just so frustrated trying to deal with these people, I had to vent. Sorry!!!

I was able to cancel the credit watch through myfico with no problem.

I must say that I don't recall getting a notice in my e-mail about the trial period ending
but I did see the 89.95 charge so they removed the charge, it took a few days because I paid by debit card.
Overall, I have been pleased with myfico just not the score watch itself. 
I really like the forums.
I have gained so much helpful information and it helps to know there are others who are in the same boat I am.

Never use a debit card online for anything. Don't use it ever matter of fact.

Just didnt want to use my credit card and thought for sure I would be cancelling this before the trial period ended.  I was fortunate in that they promptly refunded my $$$.

It's my understand the protections which used to be absent from Debit cards are now the same as for CC.
