Credit Report Info.

Just a few minutes ago I purchased the Suze Platinum kit. I am in the process of getting medical collections accounts removed from all 3 CRA's. I have not had any open tradelines of credit for over 10 years due to health issues. I was directed to this site/product by someone else in the same situation as myself and I would like to be able to monitor my credit reports for deletions and new credit sources as I am able to get them.

I tried getting the reports from all 3 CRA's, but I got an error that says that it could not get them and listed a couple of reasons why. Do I have to have an active, open trade line of credit in order to use the kit I purchased? I'm not really worried about my score at this time, I just want to be able to pull my credit reports from time to time to track progress of the medical collection accounts I have.

Please Advise.

Chris.

Re: Credit Report Info.

You normally have to have had some sort of credit reporting within the last six months to 7 years to have a credit file existing, but I would have thought that the collections activity would do that.

I was thinking the same thing. My Experian report shows 2 inquiries from Myfico.com as well. I'm not sure what is going on.

Hi Chris,

To get a report and score as part of any myFICO product, including the Suze Kit, you have to meet the minimum FICO scoring criteria, which is:
  • at least one trade line open 6 or more months ago (collections and public records won't qualify), and
  • at least one trade line reported to the bureau within the past 6 months

This criteria can be met by one or more trade lines and they don't have to be open.

And even if you can't get your report/score from myFICO, you should still be able to get a credit report directly from the bureaus, as long as you have something on your credit report, i.e. collections, public records, old trade lines -- but they still won't have a FICO score for you.

Good luck!

Barry

Re: Credit Report Info.

I'm getting the same error when trying to purchase my experian report.  I recently purchased the report directly from Experian and it's pretty much the same as TU an EQ.  This report should mee the requirements also.  Any suggestions...

1.                        At least one account which has been open for six months or more.

2.                        At least one account that has been updated in the past six months.

3.                        No indication of deceased on the credit report.

Re: Credit Report Info.

To clarify, are you saying that you can get your FICO EQ and TU scores, but not the FICO EX score? And that you even pulled your report from EX, and it shows pretty much the same stuff as the other two, but you still can't get a FICO EX score? (Sorry, I've only had one slurp of my coffee this morning! Smiley Tongue )

Anyway, if you have at least one account open for 6 months or more, AND at least one account with new activity reported to the CRA's within the last six months, they ought to be able to generate a score. (And if you aren't dead on any of your accounts, lol.) I guess the next step is to make sure that you do have recent activity on that EX report, and that you have an account that's old enough, and then call myFICO customer service. They're open Saturdays, but not Sundays.

BTW, hope you didn't pay for a score when you pulled your EX report directly from the bureau. The score they give you is a FAKO, not a FICO.

Re: Credit Report Info.

EX had my birthday wrong.  It showed that I was a minor.  I had it corrected and everything is fine.  Thanks.

Great to hear that you were able to resolve this with Experian, MrsRazcu! Smiley Happy
