Is it me or no alerts are being sent out for almost a month?!?!?! I haven't received an alert for EQ in almost a month so I pulled my CR & noticed that my score DROPPED 55 POINTS!!! I think i should've received an alert......... WHAT DO U GUYS THINK????
What caused the drop?
Was your target score set and was it set at a higher amount than your then-current score?
I haven't received an alert since the 4th. I figure I'm due for a jump because I just paid off 75% of my debt at the beginning of the month....
The only thing I can see are 2 collection account that were moved from the collections page to the Accounts page... They're showing past due for the balances when before it didn't affect it. Yes I did have the alert set to check for any changes on my score +/- 5 points.
P.S..... I didn't know I had to set my alert score equal to the current score!?!?!?!?!?!? That wasn't explained to me!!!!!! I can't believe I had to pay to see a drop!!!!!! SOOOOOOO NOT FAIR!!!!!!

The target score in Settings is set to an exact number as opposed to +/- so many digits....unlike the other settings. You may want to double check. If a new TL was added, it should have alerted you, though it sounds like it just shifted around from one section to the other. If your target score was set above your then-current score, then you wouldn't have received an alert since your score change didn't tick upwards. If your target score was set below your current score, then you should have received an alert. Bumping for others.
So just to make sure..... In me setting my alerts equal to the current score I will or will not receive alerts if my score goes up &/or down???? Please help guys! I hate spending unnecessary money for something I'm already paying for.
Example: your score is 650. You have your target score set at 700. If your score increases to 660, no alert. If your score decreases to 350, no alert. If your score increases to 700 or 701, alert.
Example: your score is 650. Your target score is 650. Your score increases to 651, alert. Your score decreases to 649, alert. You should be getting alerts if you "cross" your target score.

ALWAYS set your target score to exactly match your current score. Since your score changed, I suggest changing your target score now. If your score goes up or down, you'll get alerted to it. Remember, SW tracks score changes on a weekly basis. If your score changes again whether by a new report pull or you get alerted, always be sure to immediately change that target score again. Cumbersome, but it works.
I hadn't received any scorewatch updates for almost two weeks. In the meantime, I had paid off balances. I stayed at 735. I got impatient and pulled my remaining power report. Lo and behold, it was 762.
So, in response to your post, I had a long break in score alerts, too, even though I set my alert score right. Now, I've paid off another card, and my score should be in the 770s hopefully. I'll be curiously watching whether scorewatch alerts me to that.
And, yes, I did cancel my subscription. Basically, scorewatch is a nice idea, but it doesn't seem to always pick up things correctly. Furthermore, my report is boring, and all that happens is a slight fluctuation depending on how many of my CCs report balances. I can pretty much predict my score. Scorewatch helped me learn about this, though.
