MyFico Monitoring vs Score watch

Do these two products basically do the same things, as in looking for the same type of alerts?  Ive been on scorewatch trial for just over 2 weeks and have gotten two alerts, Ive been on the TU monitoring and havent heard a peep but the once a week message that their are no new alerts.  Ive app'd to about 7 places within the last mo and not even one inquiry has popped up an alert for my TU report.  Im not to overally worried but just found it odd.

Re: MyFico Monitoring vs Score watch

Not that Im complaining, but shouldnt it have picked up something??  I just pulled my TU thru myfico and it showed 5 new inq's and 3 new accounts. I would think it would pick up one of these... (OK, maybe Im complaining a teeny weeny bit, however if I think of it this way 40 bucks for 4 fico reports is still a good deal, its just not doing what I thought it would)

Hi AttaGirl,

The reason you haven't received any FICO Quarterly Monitoring alerts after changes to your TU report is that this product only generates alerts on a quarterly basis.  After your first 3 months of the FQM, you'll get an email telling you your new report and the alerts are available for you to view.

Sorry it wasn't clear. Smiley Sad

Re: MyFico Monitoring vs Score watch

Good question.  The weekly alerts are for the non-credit bureau data sources that alert you to changes in your ID info -- name, address, etc.  These data sources are basically marketing databases, i.e. mail lists.
