No SW alert

I had a new collection added to my EQ CR the same day that I got my alert that one of my accounts improved.  It's been a few days.  I was sure I would have received an alert by now, but I haven't.  I checked all my settings and they are accurate.  Why the delay?  I am anxious to buy another CR to see if it is listed there although I didn't get an alert.

Re: No SW alert

What date exactly did the collection hit? (Sorry to hear about this, btw.)

Re: No SW alert

If it hasn't appeared by this evening, you might give CS a call. There is always a built-in delay or several days for all credit monitoring services, usually around 36-48 hours. It's been longer than that for you, though.

Thanks for the info.  I may just do that.  It hit EQ first.  TU was the last for it to hit and it hit there this morning.  I hate to see what this has done to my scores.  I stayed at 477 with EQ forever.  It just went up to 500 on 8/19.  Now I will see that drop again.  I just hope it doesn't go lower than 477.  One day I will be at 500 across the boards for good. Hi JewelryGirl....I'd suggest pulling an updated Equifax report.  An additional free report has been added to your Score Watch for this purpose. This way you can be sure that the new collection is being reported.  Then if it is, contact customer service to have that missing alert investigated.  Good luck!

Re: No SW alert

so is it normal to not receive a SW alert for a while? my last alert for EQ was on 11/22. it was an increase with no credit alert. i assume it was due to my uti going down to under 30%...but since then it was gone back up..wayy up and still no alerts. also, i have TU quarterly monitoring and i haven't gotten score alerts there either in over 2 months.

Re: No SW alert

So 36-48 hours is a good amount of time to wait before calling and checking?

Since you haven't pulled a EFX report in a while, it's hard to say whether or not you should have received any alerts since then. I agree that's a rather long time. I would suggest at least setting your target score to something lower than you have it presently so that you can start receiving score alerts. I've added a free report that you should pull and then immediately set your target score to the score you just received. Then you'll be alerted when it goes up or down from there.
