First let me say I love having MyFico helping me restore my credit and will probably continue to use this site for a long time until I break the 700 club at least.
I have a problem though. I have been awaiting a couple things to happen on my Equifax report but I have not seen them show up on Score Watch, yep nothing new??? So I went to Equifax themselves and got current report data as of today. It shows changes that are not reflected on Score Watch and the report I pulled from MyFico today. I pulled both today within a hour of each other. I feel like I just wasted my second report which comes with Score Watch.
One notable difference is that the report driectly from Equifax shows my student loan posting data for June and July and shows as paying as agreed. My Equifax report from MyFico shows the last posting date as May and has my account status as In Deferment. It has never been in deferment by the way. Sorry but I think this is a problem and am concerned that the score I am being given is not correct or up to date.
I am also expecting an old baddie to drop off in the month of July but it has not on either Equifax report. The reports I pulled last year all stated the expected date for this item to be deleted as July 2011. Yeah I know - there is still a few days left, so I'm anxious, lol.
So what is UP? Why am I getting different information from what is supposed to be the same CRA? The MyFico rep says "we get our info directly from the CRA"? Then why is it not up to date with thier data?
Please help!?
Hi RRinTN,
While your score is definitely accurate, based on the EQ report that was scored, I'm guessing the report you received directly from EQ may have come from a different database than the one used for myFICO. Can't verify this though.
We've added a couple of additional reports to your SW, one to make up for the second one you pulled, and one to check later to see if the myFICO EQ report updates to show the same as what the report directly from EQ shows. As for the 'deferment' issue, that would not have come from myFICO, it would have had to come from EQ.
While not the definitive answer you were hoping for, I hope this helps at least a little.
