Quarterly and SW Monitoring Question

Could someone please clarify if both Quarterly and SW monitor for FICO score changes only once per week?  Do they send alerts only once per week?  A major baddie was deleted from my reports, but so far, only EX (through their product) reflects a change in my report/Plus Score, which was more than a week ago.

1)  Is there a significant delay between CRAs updating their files, generally speaking?  If so, is there a typical "order" between them?

2)  If my EQ and TU reports HAVE been updated, and assuming it resulted in a FICO change, when does Qrtly and SW receive that update?

Thanks for the clarification!

In addition to my answers below, you may want to read Score Watch Guide if you haven't already...

Do they send alerts only once per week?  SW sends score alerts once a week, but credit reporting change alerts can be sent daily, if there are SW triggering changes occurring that frequently (highly unlikely). Again, all FQM alerts are quarterly only.  A major baddie was deleted from my reports, but so far, only EX (through their product) reflects a change in my report/Plus Score, which was more than a week ago. Neither SW nor FQM alerts you to items coming OFF of your reports.

1)  Is there a significant delay between CRAs updating their files, generally speaking?  If so, is there a typical "order" between them?  Are you asking if, for example, EQ updates more quickly than TU?  If so, they both update at about the same rate of speed.

2)  If my EQ and TU reports HAVE been updated, and assuming it resulted in a FICO change, when does Qrtly and SW receive that update?  By the date of your next quarterly report for FQM.  For SW, within a couple of days for a credit alert and 7-10 days for a score alert.

Thanks for the clarification!

Re: Quarterly and SW Monitoring Question

lol...thank you!

So I realize I'm not alerted when things drop, but I was specifically wondering WHEN I'm notified of the resulting score change (if any).  So I believe you're saying that since SW monitors and alerts evey 7-10 days for any score change, that I wouldn't be notified immediately.  So I can look for an alert re. score change next week probably.

Hope I have that right!  Smiley Happy

Hope I have that right!  Smiley Happy  Congrats on dropping the baddie, btw!  Smiley Wink
