Re: SW Alert Delays?

Hi Barry,

Thanks for jumping in and responding to our SW questions and concerns.

My post was originally written about a week or so after purchasing SW through this site.  Since I had been reading posts about weekly updates and hadn't received any at that point, my concern was there must have been a technical issue present.  Since that time, I did receive an alert that there were no changes; however, a new address appeared on EQ yesterday and I still haven't received the alert.  Must be delayed or something.

The other concern was 2 new revolving accounts had been added with no FICO score change.  (FAKOs took a healthy jump though.  LOL)  I was expecting either an increase due to their age or decrease from adding new TLs.  Today, one of my cards is 23 years old and expected at least a 1 or 2 point bump but nothing yet.

I also noticed that back in March when I subscribed to SW through EQ, my FICO on 3/2 was 720 but when my lender pulled the same day it showed 721.  At that time I had a paid and closed mortgage that had an anniversary in that month as well resulting in a 1 point increase.

If I understand your explanation there can be a delay in both alerts and actually FICO changes.  I suppose a lender pull would result in actual FICO scores at the time of the pull.

Is there any particular day of the week that alerts can be expected or alerts that no changes have occurred?

Re: SW Alert Delays?

I finally got an alert and new FICO score some 16 days later on 6/3.  I thought alerts and FICO scores were updated weekly or sooner if there was a change but doesn't seem to be the case.

I'll keep it for the 3 months and then cancel at that time.

Re: SW Alert Delays?

Thank you very much for your reply Barry. As you can see, I pull new credit reports for both EQ regularly (and spend a lot of $ here!) so possibly I'm just not being patient enough Smiley Happy

July 2017 Current Scores: Approx 710 (waiting for official updates)
