Well first I'd like to say I made a huge mistake by canceling SW and buying it through EQ because it was cheaper there. it never worked over there. I would get alerts but no score changes.
Anyway, what's going on here now is that I got an alert that my score went down. But when I click onto the main page of SW, my old score is still there - I have to go into the alerts section to see the score. Did I set up my account wrong or something?
Thanks,
Booner
OK, so is your Scorewatch now through myFICO or through Equifax?
If it's through EQ, I've no clue how they set it up over there.
If it's through myFICO, the score on the "main page" doesn't change unless you buy a new report.
To view the score that came with the alert, slide down a bit to the hideous staring eyeball (I do NOT like the new logo ), and click on it. That should show the new score.
Hi, Hauling. Yes I came back to MYFICO. Just brought up EQ to warn people it sucks over there.
OK - I'll go look for the glaring eyeball.........
Quick question about the SW here - can it be on TU?
It would have to be something developed from scratch. I don't know if it's on the radar. It could be fun to have though, for those who have activity on their TU's. (I don't have any TU-pullers that I'm interested in, so I don't look at it much.)
Since they can't even get TU to start offering TU04, I dunno how much chance there is to develop an SW-type product for TU. Too bad...
Ahh okay - the only reason i was asking is because my score for TU is almost 100 points higher then my EQ.... lol ....
I don't think SW is updating either! My score has increased 4 times from 11/2 to 11/13 and I only received 1 alert and I had to use my last report just to get the score to update which had a 9 point increase!! I need 3 points to hit the score my lender said I need but I don't want him to pull my score until I'm sure my last 3 payments have hit. I shouldn't have had to use my 1 last report just to see an update. Now I have to purchase another one when I "think" the pmts may have hit.
**Yes, my alert settings are set for my current score. I think their is some techinical issue with SW not updating at all.
IME, it's working. Have it for both DW and myself and got alerts as late as yesterday. I had a tough time remembering that the score is only monitored weekly, not daily. And while it is possible to get score alerts daily if you had items change whereby you'd get a credit alert (e.g. new TL, added baddie, increased balance) if the target score is correctly set, you'll only get alerted weekly if there's nothing happening on your CR. I had to remember that we don't get alerts for dropped balances and therefore the alerts from that would only come weekly, assuming the dropped balance resulted in a score change. Confusing? IMO, it could be simplified, but I think it's EQ's doing.

How do you know your score increased 4 times. One indication was from an alert, right? The other from an EQ FICO report pull. What about the other two? Did you get two more alerts or did the lender pull two more times?
Remember, SW won't alert you to dropped balances and not every dropped balance will result in a score increase.
It (FICO score history) shows 4 alerts but I only got an email notification on 1. I guess I didn't realize it won't alert when my balances drop but I paid off several cards & paid utilization down on all of my cards from 87-97% to 20-30% & some to $0...so, I know my scores are changing but it's so hard to wait!!
my SW shows no alerts lol... i dont even know if my EQ score is still 515 x.x
