I received a SW alert today and it states that one of my accounts had a balance increase, no problem. But when I click for more info it is showing the same account twice as two separate items. what the heck is that?? just an error I assume, but does that affect my score as well, since in the details it says TWO of your accounts have had a balance increase? I wonder.

I should create a stickied thread about this issue, because it comes up quite regularly. This is not a criticism of your question, but rather a criticism of a quirk in the way SW alerts are generated.
This "problem" happens to me all the time. It's because of the way my SW alerts are set up. Go to your SW page and click on the "Settings" tab. You will see that you have the option of SW alerts being sent when (1) you have a balance increase larger than X% and (2) you have a balance increase larger than $Y.
If you set the thresholds very low for these criteria - e.g. 5% and $5 - then it's possible to trigger both alerts. That is, if you have a balance of $100 on a $1000 CL credit card and the next month a balance of $150 reports, you've experienced a 50% increase which results in the first alert. You also have a $50 increase which triggers the second alert.
So here's the bottom line:
Your account only appears on your credit reports once.
The duplicate alert is a fluke.
This DOES NOT affect your FICO score twice.
Thank you for the clarification on that. Got it.
LOL....and I thought that I was the only person in the world who had stupid "luck" as to have the exact same item affecting me twice on my credit report! Thanks for the clarification - it makes since now
