Because I am inpatient, I purchased yet ANOTHER Scorepower Report, to learn that my EQ score increased 35 points! I am definitely happy that my score increased but I would have liked to have received a notice instead of learning by purchasing a new report.
I think the reason for my increase is that (2) paid collections were deleted after sending a GW to the CA. So of course, I purchase a TU report, yeah, I know, I am addicted, no score change but (1) collection was removed.
I had my score alert set to my current score, why didn't I get the alert? I would hate to continue paying the monthly fee when I am also paying for the report in order to see the score change.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Starting Scores: 8/12/10 (after LO Pull) - EQ - 476, TU - 532 , EX FAKO: 525
Current Scores : 9/7/10 (removing lates, collections, etc.) - EQ- 578 , TU-543,EX FAKO 587
Trying for a mortgage in June 2011------Hoping to reach 650+! (71% Utilization to pay down!)
Congrats! When were the CAs removed off EQ?
Thanks, the C/A contacted me with a email on 8/17/10 that they would be removed and were notifying all agencies. I don't know the exact date, but they were still showing on my 8/27/10 report, so anywhere between then and now they were removed. I was hoping my TU would also increase.
Next step, pay down my 71% utilization! Hopefully that will get me to mid 600's ![]()
I just wish I didn't have to purchase my score every week to see a change.

Hi Determined330,
Nice job on the score increase! We checked and it looks like you were sent a Score Watch alert on 8/21, two days after you pulled that EQ report showing the score increase, advising of this score change along with a couple of report updates. If you're sure you didn't get that alert, you may want to check spam filters and make sure myFICO has your correct email address by going to My Account at the top of this page.
You definitely had the right idea about setting your target score to your current score to generate an alert with the next score change. Unfortunately, that's not where your current target score is set. To remedy this, we've added a free EQ report and suggest pulling it to get your current EQ score. Then immediately set it as your target score.
Continued good luck with your score!

Hi Barry and Thank you for your reply. I did get the 8/21 alert but it was to only report changes to (2) accounts that did not reflect a change in my score. The change in score happened between 8/27 and today. I already purchased a report this morning with a current score of 578, changing my alert settings to show this current number, I will wait another week before viewing another report.
Thanks again!

Uh oh, I got my score increases mixed up. ![]()
It's true that until today you had your target set at the score you received on 8/27. It's impossible to know exactly which day between 8/27 and 9/7 your score changed, so there's no way to know if you should have been alerted before today, since it can take 7-10 days following a score change to be alerted. And now that you've appropriately set your target at today's new score, I can't be sure that you're still going to get the alert showing the score pulled today.
Good idea to now leave your target score alone and give it at least a week before checking your score again. Let us know what you find when you do that.
