Hello All,
My TU score is 644 and EQ score is 641. Both reports have the same information. However, when I run the Best Course of Action button on the simulator page for each respective report, they both come up with drastically different score ranges.
TU says in 24 months, if I paydown 90-100% of my credit card debt, my score should be between 684-724. EQ says between 736-764.
Would anyone know why there would be such a drastic difference in score ranges between the reports, when the reports report the same information?
Thanks in advance!

Good (and tough) question, gcmiranda. That's quite a difference! I'll see what I can find out and report back.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here, but I've always thought it had something to do with the Credit Bureaus using slightly different flavors of the scoring model, which place different value/importance on certain categories/info within report. In other words, some look more unfavorably on new inquiries, or higher balances, or late payments etc. Its what I've believed for a while and is at least one explanation for the issue you raise. I can't think of what else would, minus a technical malfunction. And this is of course assuming totally identical info on both reports, which I must say is quite rare to see. That's sure quite a range discrepancy for even my theory. Barry will have a better idea I'm sure.
I can't speak for the difference, but IME, EQ was always more sensitive to util.
