I haven't received a score update since the 4th of July. Is this normal? From everything I've read i should be receiving updates about every 7-10 days. If I'm not going to receive updates then I'm just going to cancel my myfico account. Please let me know what's going on with this. I know that new things have been added since the 4th.
Thanks,
John Bell
It is normal if nothing is happening on your EQ report. Do you have any added accounts, inquiries, significant balance increases, account changes, etc.?
I looked into my history for this month and received 3 alerts. One was for an inquiry which came 1 day after apping with Penfed. And two were for balance increases on 2 of my CCs. Had I not app'd and had I PIF those 2 CCs like I should have then I wouldn't have received any alerts.

Since April I havent received any score alert! nothing chage apparently? there is not a recent alert.690 as of April 3, 2009 im looking forward to increase my credit ASAP thank you
Are you sure you have your balance increase settings right? ALL balance increases don't necessarily trigger alerts. They have to increase by a minimum amount that you set.

My score alerts are rediculously late. I get the cc statement and pay if off before i get a score alert showing an increase in balance. Makes me wonder what im paying for
Barry,
I just received an alert that my score went down 23 points on a day that there were no alerts to my credit file. I pulled my Equifax report today in response to the alert, and nothing has changed. I've actually had a couple of revolving account balances DECREASE, one of which were paid off. No new accounts, no public record, no new collections, etc. What could be going on?
Hard to tell from the alert alone, Amleigh. Since the date of your last EQ report was 9/30, before the score drop, we've added a free report to your Score Watch subscription so you can have an updated report to compare with that earlier report. Hopefully, you'll be able to see what caused the score drop. If not, reply back here and we'll see what we can find out.
