Score Watch Alert

Hello fico family. I recieved a  Positive Score watch alert yesterday 4/12/08 but there was no score changed. I called Equifax and a Rep said that I should be recieving a Score change alert within the next 24hrs.

How accurate is that??

Do you have ScoreWatch through Equifax or through myFICO? Same product, different means of access.

So the alert itself didn't include your new score, but it said that it had gone up? Did it at least tell you that it had gone up by 10 points, or whatever? That is definitely weird, but there are probably all sorts of strange things happened as they shove out the backlogged alerts. They see that there has been a problem with alerts going out for the last two weeks (way longer than that, IMO), and for the past several days, they've been shoving out everything that they can find. I guess it's just taking a while for everything to show up properly.

Re: Score Watch Alert

This is the email I got.

This e-mail is to notify you that the following change has occurred on your credit file:

  • a change to an existing account

To view the details of this notification, please click on the link below to log in.

http://myservices.equifax.com/LEARN_scorewatch

To update your alert preferences, please click on My Alert Preferences or on your Score Watch(TM) Summary page.

This is the reasons for the alert:

04/12/2008

The following changes were reported for your HOUSEHOLD CREDIT SERVICES account:-
Balance Amount Changed from $207 to $0
Past Due Amount Changed from N/A to $0

04/12/2008   The following changes were reported for your CAPITAL ONE account:-
Past Due Amount Changed from N/A to $0

Both decriptions said these reasons should cause my score to increase. But it didn't.  So I decided to call Equifax and the rep. said I should get a follow up response within 24hrs stating that my score has gone up.

How true can that be?

Re: Score Watch Alert

Can't really say, because I can't tell if this is a function of the recent ScoreWatch meltdown. About all you can do is wait and find out, I'm afraid.

Moving to Using myFICO Products; don't know why I didn't the first time.
