I just tried to order my new score power report and my card was charged
but it said I had to verify my identity, why? my card went through fine! so
why didn't I get my new report?
Never mind they fixed it

Hi hoping2rebuild,
If it wasn't made clear to you, regardless of your credit card being charged, the verifying of your identity (authentication) is to make sure you are who you say you are so as not to give your credit report to someone else. It's for your protection.

Barry,
It just caught me off guard I have been here since 2008 and haven't had to verify before.
I appreciate the extra steps for our security
This same thing just happened to me a week or two ago, I had placed a freeze on my TU report a few weeks earlier, so when I went to purchase my TU report here at MyFico, I got the same message you received, I called the # provided and had it fixed in a matter of minutes.
I purchased my TU report again this past Friday 12/09/11 and had no problems.
I greatly appreciate MyFico taking the steps to verify that it was indeed me who was pulling my report.

Apparently there was a fraud alert on your credit file at EQ, which required a one-time re-authenticating.

That's weird I have never put an alert on my file
Was anything ever disputed as "not mine" or were inquiries disputed?
Yes a couple inquiries for a Ford dealership in VA

I knew about disputing as "not mine" could cause a fraud alert, but I did not know disputing inq's could cause a fraud alert. (makes complete sense tho)
Thanks IIecs, yet again, I learned something new today
