Score Watch Issue

So my credit score has increased by 23 points, yet I didn't receive an alert. I have to admit its a little disappointing that I didn't receive an alert. I had to use the power report in order to find out. My email address is correct and there were no emails in my spam filter. I wish the score watch functioned properly at all times, but I guess everything isn't perfect all the time. Im just saddened that I signed up for three months of service and I may never receive any alerts. I like the idea of the service, I just wish it worked for me.

Re: Score Watch Issue

Is your target score set to your current score? If not, it is recommended to set it to current score. If it is set too high, you may not get an alert until you are within I believe 5-10 points from it. You can search for more info.

Re: Score Watch Issue

That's just it...my current score was 509 and the target score was set to 509 as well. I read the score watch guide after I purchased it to ensure I would receive proper alerts and I still did not.

Re: Score Watch Issue

I would be more concerned of no alert if there was a score drop!

Re: Score Watch Issue

How long has it been since you gained the points and when did you set it to 509? It may take a few days as I believe SW sends out alerts weekly. I may be wrong, I'm sure someone with more experience will stop by this thread soon.

I get an alert once a week (the day varies, but always once a week) normally this is what it says........

For the past week, myFICO® Score Watch has been monitoring your FICO® score and credit report for important changes.

No important changes were found that caused an alert. Score Watch will continue monitoring and send an alert if an important change is detected.

Please log into Score Watch to see your previous alerts or alert settings.

Thank you for monitoring your FICO® score with myFICO® Score Watch.

the myFICO® Team

And once in a while I'll get an alert that says this.....

Score Watch has detected a change to your credit report or FICO score today.

Please log into Score Watch to find out more.

Thank you,
the myFICO® team

Re: Score Watch Issue

My score was set to the 509 from day one. I purchased SW a few days before Christmas. I (sadly) pulled my power report yesterday after reading so many people claim their score had went up without an alert from SW. It was disappointing that it turned out to be true.

I wish I could cancel my subscription sooner, while the cost isn't a lot, paying for a product that doesn't work properly is somewhat frustrating.

Re: Score Watch Issue

Hi AFreshStart,

It looks like an alert advising that your score had gone up to 532 was sent to you on 1/8.  I saw your earlier post saying you checked your spam filter and made sure we had your correct email address, which leaves me at a loss as to why you didn't receive it.  Sorry you had to pull your second report, so I've added another one for you.

Hopefully, you'll get your next alert.  Next time if you feel you should have been alerted to a change, give myFICO Customer Care a call and they can check on that for you.

Barry, thank you so much for your generosity. I understand that there are glitches in the systems. As long as this forum stays in tact I will be more than happy. Thank you again, it truly made my day. Smiley Happy
