Score watch Alerts

It seems I keep having issues of not getting alerts when I should. I recently had scorewatch through equifax & cancelled it because I like the way I  can see all my recent scores from all 3 bureas when I am logged in to myfico & I enjoyed the format better on myfico. however it seems that for some reason I am missing Alerts. I know how to set my goal equal to my score to trigger alerts in either direction & I have everything else set to the lowest that is allowed. Before my scorewatch was cancelled through equifax I had both scorewatches for a short time & I did see an alert on the other that said I had a score increase & no alert from myfico. I waited a few days & no alert so I used one of my free score reports & sure enough it had changed. I figured maybe it was because I was new to this scorewatch & it would get lined out. Well still several times I would see a change reported through my truecredit 3 in 1 reports ( when they still had them) & still no alerts or very delayed alerts.  Recently I had been waiting for an increase that I knew Id be getting because of in decrease in utilities. I am addicted its the 1st thing I look for in my email. No alerts so still Id log in & check to see if any alerts. Still none so I do a pull cause Im sure it has changed well it did but  a few days later I get an email saying that I have an alert & it is dated the day before my pull even though It wasnt there to be viewed the day before I pull mycredit. Then as of my last alert on 12-20 I was still waiting on an increase & finally pulled again on I believe the 1-7 & there was an increase. Still to this day several weeks later there hasnt been an alert for that increase. Again now I have decreased my utilization and am sure my score has changed. I pulled my transunion & experian & am trying to be patient for my alert but I havent received one. I dont want to spend 10.95 to see my score change again. Whats up mith my alerts?  Oh yeah I forgot I also got the message today about nothing happening with my credit for the past month, although I did have score changes.??

Re: Score watch Alerts

I have the same issue. I love the myFico forums because they have been very helpful and informative. And i would love the ScoreWatch product if it actually did what it promises.

I was approved 4 a new CC end of last month. waited 2 weeks after activating it to get an alert. Never did. I finally used my Free Score power report to see what the deal was and it had an alert in the box that i should have received on 1/15. Then they sent me an email the other day saying i've had no alerts in a whole month. Even though there is one listed in the alert page.

I'm very dissapointed this is only my first month with SW and I think i will be cancelling after the 3 months is over!

I wish they would

Re: Score watch Alerts

Im debating on canceling too. Though Id hate too because I like being able to have all 3 of my real scores in one place. My transunion quarterly mointering doesnt send  me alerts either ( not sure if its supposed to? someone can correct me if Im wrong), but at least I get a new real score every few months & it will have new accounts & stuff listed then. Im not as worried about it because it seems equifax score is the one more often looked at by creditors. I hate to say it but on the equifax site they have almost the same scorewatch service & as far as I could tell according to what truecredit would report I never missed an alert. They didnt have the reports set up the same way saying how many years n months etc ,but they were changing alot of things when I had left & as far as I can remember I could pull my report everyday & get scores only with changes.

Re: Score watch Alerts

I didn't mean to click on soloution , but I cancelling is the best soloution because nobody else seems to have any. What I am fixing to do is to sign up for totalcredit & see what balances are reporting for equifax. I'm pretty sure that it will show that my balance reflects my new credit utilization. Then I will pay again for a scorewatch report & when it shows a higher score because my utilization is much lower. Thats it is over cancel time!!

Re: Score watch Alerts

Update. Yep paid again for a score report . Thats $65.70 since Nov. As I figured, knew, whatever. My last score on Jan 7th was 786 now today 20 days later my score is 791. 20 days is plenty of time for the score watch weekly mointering to pick up on the score change. My Alert was set to my previous score.  Last two pulls just to verify what my score was because I knew my cc was reporting a lower balance already & there was 17 & then 20 days between my pulls with no alerts & no scores showing. To pay again was the only way to get the accurate score.

Re: Score watch Alerts

In the past month, SW has missed 47 and 32 point jumps.  There were some things the I KNEW were updated that should have resulted in score increases, but I never got a score change alert.  Each time, I had my target score set to 1 point of the current score.  The only reason I finally got the point jumps was because I lost patience and bought Score Power reports.  I already knew what was on my reports, so I did not need the Score power reports for that--I just wanted the SCORE, which I should already have included in my paid subscription!!

Re: Score watch Alerts

Alerts do seem broken. Util much lower, no alerts. Do a pull and +20 jump. Called support number and was told they'll investigate and get back to me. Several weeks later and I've heard nothing.

Re: Score watch Alerts

What do you know?  SW missed another 8 point gain. My vacated judgment was deleted and my maxed out CC was paid down to $0 from $1100.  Not exactly subtle changes there.  I know it is not supposed to trigger an alert for positive changes (why isn't there a monitoring program that does this--they all only do negative alerts?).  SW is, however, supposed to alert me when my score reaches my target score, which it has been continually failing to do.

Re: Score watch Alerts

Sorry to hear of these problems. Smiley Sad These kinds of Score Watch concerns should be brought to the attention of myFICO Customer Support, where they can investigate for tech errors.

Re: Score watch Alerts

I will do that.  FYI...I also had an inquiry a couple days ago.  I have gotten an alert from 3 other monitoring services about it already, but nothing from SW.
