So I recevied confirmation from EQ on 4/3 that my disputed personal information (several addresses) has been deleted from my CR.
I'm wondering why SW hasn't alerted me to any personal changes in my report yet (4/6)
Thanks
Did your current address change?
No, current is same. Should I conclude then that it only alerts when current address changes, and not other personal information removed/changed? Besides previous addresses, I had reported employer removed & a wrong previous name removed.
Shouldn't any personal info. that has changed trigger an alert?

From my understanding, it is only your current info like your address, name, SSN, etc. that would trigger an alert. The old stuff doesn't change I don't think. It only deletes and SW doesn't pick up on stuff that deletes.
hmmmm....
I'm a little dissapointed as I would like to be alerted of any info. that has changed, as it obvious indicates that my CR has been accessed and or modified in some way. I kind of thought that was the point in using the product.
If I continue passed the free trial, then basically I'm paying a monthly fee to "kinda" monitor only 1 Bureau's report.
Thanks for your prompt response!
The point of Score Watch is to monitor your credit for issues that may either affect your credit score or the security of your personal information. Major changes to your credit card balances, new accounts, collections, and inquiries, for example, can affect your score. New accounts, changes to your current address, or changes to your SSN could be indicative of possible identity theft.
The alert triggers are laid out on the page that you went through to sign up for Score Watch. Soft inquiries, such as annual reviews by your credit cards, the accessing of information by you, and any action that Equifax took under your direction (e.g. the deletion of non-current or incorrect addresses in response to a dispute) do not affect your score and are not seen by your creditors, and thus do not trigger alerts.
Lel,
Thanks for the clarification and prompt response.

Your Equifax FICO score changes are monitored both daily and weekly:

Ok my understanding, based on your reply, and the above info., deleted info (barring changes in current personal and SSN), unless it triggers a score change, won't trigger an alert. So lets say for example I am waiting for some bad TL's to be deleted or dropped, I wouldn't be aware of these actions on my CR unless those deletions/drops cause a score change, and only until MyFico checks my score, which in that instance, looks to be once a week. And if by chance a deleted/dropped TL doesn't cause a score change, or I am waiting to verify a PFD on my CR, I would have to pull CR to check/verify these anticipated changes, in which case, if I have used up my score power reports, I would have to pay to check my CR.
As I'm writing this, if the above is true, due to my anticipated needs, I'm thinking that I need a product that allows for multiple pulls from all 3 Bureaus whenever I feel it's necessary for one monthly fee, which I don't think MyFico offers. On the flip side though, I have a feeling that i'll only recieve my true FICO score for TU & EQ here and not someplace else. I already have Quarterly Monitoring for TU and have free trial for ScoreWatch for EQ.
Too bad MyFico doesn't have one product that combines all 3 reports with ability for multiple pulls plus monitoring of TU & EQ Fico Scores for one monthly fee.
somkey, I believe that your understanding is correct. As I recall, others have noted that they don't get alerted when baddies fall off their reports, unless there is an associated score change. If you need monitoring for these sort of changes, then I agree, the myFICO products are not the choice for you.
I don't have any experience with the other credit report monitoring services, but products such as Credit Check Total are more appropriate for you. There are several users that subscribe to both CCT and Score Watch, because they serve different purposes.
If you don't have a specific need to know your FICO scores on a continually updated basis, then you could just go with CCT and then occasionally check your TU and EQ FICO scores here, without necessarily subscribing to the monitoring service.
